She is sweeping the hardwood floor of a sparse room. There is one window, and the only furniture is a black rocking chair and a small table. A book is on the table. She stops sweeping as she notices something on the floor. She kneels down to pick it up. It is a yellow tulip petal, which she places inside the book.
