"Stations, Depots, and
Platforms"
by
H. H. Mueller
H. H. Mueller, affectionately known as "Herk", has been a photographer since 1946. Working exclusively in black & white, he has been influenced by Alfred Stieglitz, Walker Evans, and David Plowden. "I prefer printing on warm-tone papers," he states in his inimitably detached fashion, adding that he generally uses 4 X 5 size prints.
In addition to being a student of world history, Mr. Mueller has an avid interest in American railroads, and the following photographs are of train stations that he and his camera have come to know and love.
